Heat rash symptoms are a tricky category of symptoms. For one, there is very little chance to actually see something on the skin of the affected person, making it seem like a real rash. In most cases, the heat rash symptoms do not have actual physical manifestations. Generally, after a person has been in an overheated environment for too long, their core body temperature rises minutely. Unfortunately, that tiny raise at the core of the body in temperature translates into about three degrees Celsius more than the normal temperature at the periphery. The affected person is flushed, his or her cheeks and arms turn a dark shade of red and they sweat profusely. Usually, it is accompanied by slight nausea or even a feeling of vertigo. If the heat rash gets worse, then the physical heat rash symptoms appear. Usually, there are small patches on the arms or the scalp of the patient that present with some very specific formations: at the root of the hair follicles, a small bump starts to appear. In general, when the bump turns a tad sharp at the top, then it is time to apply some soothing lotion. Otherwise, try not to chafe it and you will be all right in a couple of days. |
